Peach cobbler/grandpa's

Ingredients

| 4 | cups | Peaches; fresh or frozen |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| 3¾ | cup | Flour |
| 2 | tablespoons | Melted butter |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | cup | Shortening |
| 2 | tablespoons | Water |
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 deg F. Put peaches in bottom of an 8 x 8 pan. Bake in oven until peaches start to simmer. Mix together the sugar and the 3 T of flour and sprinkle over the peaches. Add melted butter.
Put remaining flour into a bowl; add salt and shortening and work with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse oatmeal. Mix in water to form a stiff sough. Roll out dough on lightly floured board into a square large enough to fit over the peaches. Prick pastry with fork and bake for 35-40 minutes.
