Oven barbecued chicken

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 2 1/2-3 lb frying chicken;
¼ cup Water
¼ cup Vinegar
3 tablespoons Oil
½ cup Chili sauce or catsup
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dry mustard
1½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
2 tablespoons Onion; optional

Recipe by: 1975 American Heart Association Brochure Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine all ingredients except the chicken in a saucepan; simmer 10 mins. Wash and dry chicken and place in a large baking pan.

Pour half of the barbecue sauce over chicken and bake, uncovered, for 50-60 mins; basting with remaining sauce every 15 mins.
