Oriental rice pilaf

Quantity | Ingredient | |

1 | cup | Long grain white rice; uncooked |
2 | teaspoons | Sesame or vegetable oil |
1 | can | (10 1/2 ounces) condensed chicken broth |
½ | cup | Water |
1 | tablespoon | Soy sauce |
1 | teaspoon | Spice Islands Garlic Powder |
½ | teaspoon | Spice Islands Ground Ginger |
¼ | cup | Sliced green onions |
In medium saucepan, cook and stir rice in oil over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until golden. Stir in chicken broth, water, soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed a nd rice is tender. Stir in green onions.
Makes 4 to 6 servings
