Rice vegetable pilaf

Ingredients

| 1⅓ | cup | Water |
| 1 | teaspoon | Chicken-flavored bouillon |
| Granules | ||
| ½ | cup | Long-grain rice -- uncooked |
| 1½ | cup | Carrot -- coarsely shredded |
| ½ | cup | Fresh parsley, chopped |
| ⅓ | cup | Scallion -- thinly sliced |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| ¼ | cup | Toasted pecans,chopped |
Directions
Combine water and bouillon granules in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Add rice, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat, and let stand, covered, 5 minutes. Add next 4 ingredients, stir well. Place over ow heat, cover and cook 5 minutes. Sprinkle with pecans.
