Shortening -- for browning
1cupGreen Pepper -- chopped
½cupOnion -- chopped
Salt And Pepper -- to taste
2cupsTomato Sauce

Directions

Brown steak in a large skillet using a small amount of shortening. Add green pepper and onion and season with salt and pepper. Pour enough sauce over steak to cover it. Reduce heat to simmer, cover container, and cook slowly for 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
