Miriam's apple cake

Ingredients

cupSugar
3largesEggs
3cupsFlour
teaspoonBaking soda
1pinchMace; optional
½teaspoonSalt
1teaspoonCinnamon
2teaspoonsVanilla
2tablespoonsWhiskey, brandy, liqueur or sweet wine
3cupsApples; peeled, cored, chopped or shredded
1cupWalnuts; chopped, or pecans
1cupChocolate chips

Directions

Cream margarine and sugar till fluffy, beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add gradually. Fold in remaining ingredients. Spoon into a greased and floured 10" tube pan or 12"x17" rectangular pan. Bake at 350 about an hour or till done.
