Maple oat cookies

½ | cup | Brown sugar |
½ | cup | Butter or margarine, softened |
1½ | teaspoon | Light molasses |
1½ | teaspoon | Maple flavor |
½ | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |

¾ | cup | Plus 2 tbsp all purpose flour |
1 | teaspoon | Baking powder |
¾ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
⅛ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
⅛ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | cup | Quick cooking rolled oats |
1 | cup | Crisp rice cereal (rice krispies?) |
Directions
In large bowl, cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter until light and fluffy. Add molasses, maple flavor, vanilla extract and egg. Mix well. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix until well blended. By hand, stir in the oats and crisp rice cereal. Drop by heaping teaspoons 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bakt at 350F for 8-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes before removing form cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 3 dozen.
