Indian muffins

Measure Ingredient
1 each Egg, beaten
1 teaspoon Shortening, melted
1½ cup Flour
1 cup Milk
2 tablespoons Cornmeal, heaping
2 teaspoons Baking powder

Mix the egg, milk and shortening together. Combine with the sifted dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake in greased muffin tins at 450-F about 20 minutes.
