Hot slaw with apples

Ingredients

| 6 | cups | CABBAGE, FINE CHOPPED | 
| 3 | tablespoons | WATER | 
| 3 | tablespoons | LEMON JUICE | 
| 2 | tablespoons | SUGAR | 
| 3 | tablespoons | BUTTER OR SALAD OIL | 
| 1½ | teaspoon | SALT | 
| ½ | teaspoon | CARAWAY SEEDS | 
| 1 | large | APPLE, UNPEELED, THIN SLICED | 
Directions
Place all ingredients except apple slices in skillet; cook, uncovered, over medium high heat, stirring until cabbage is tender, about 3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low; add apple, cover and cook 1 minute longer.  Serve at once.
