Honey ginger chicken

Measure Ingredient
3 tablespoons Shortening
3 tablespoons Margarine or butter
⅓ cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Ground ginger
/2    t ground ginger
¼ teaspoon Pepper
3 pounds Chicken drumsticks and thighs
⅓ cup Honey
⅓ cup Chili sauce 1/3 Cup soy sauce

Heat oven to 425!. Heat shortening and margarine in rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches, in oven until melted. Mix flour, salt, V2 teaspoon ginger and the pepper. Coat chicken thoroughly with flour mixture.

Place chicken, skin sides down, in pan. Bake uncovered 30 minutes; turn chicken. Bake 15 minutes longer; remove chicken. Drain fat from pan. Line pan with aluminum foil. Return chicken to pan.

Mix remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Bake uncovered 15 minutes, spooning honey mixture onto chicken every 5 minutes. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve chilled. 6 servings.
