Guava bbq sauce

Ingredients

2cansGuava nectar; (11.5 oz)
cupOnion; chopped
cupGuava jelly
cupDry sherry
¼cupMolasses; (mild-flavored - light)
3tablespoonsRed wine vinegar
2tablespoonsTomato paste
tablespoonGarlic; chopped
1tablespoonGround cumin
2teaspoonsDry mustard

Directions

Whisk all ingredients in a large saucepan. Boil mixture, whisking until jelly dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce is reduced to 3 cups.

Cool.

NOTES : Sauce can be prepared 3 days ahead. Keep refrigerated.
