Grandma wyckoff's squaw bread

Yield: 10 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1 cup Sour Milk
3 tablespoons Lard
\N \N Fat -- for frying

Combine flour, baking powder, milk and lard. Knead on bread board until soft. Use more flour to hold together if needed. Cover and let stand 10-15 mins. Pinch off dough and roll into thin strips 6-8 inches long and 3-4 inches wide. Heat fat to about 400 F and fry strips to a pretty dark brown color. Makes 10 pieces.
