Golden halibut casserole

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Halibut
2 \N Bay leaves
4 slices Onion
4 teaspoons Butter
4 tablespoons Flour
2 cups Milk
\N \N Salt and pepper
½ pounds Sharp cheddar cheese

Steam halibut, bay leaves and onion for 30 minutes. Prepare white sauce of butter, flour, milk, salt and pepper. Grate cheese. Break fish into medium sized pieces. Layer fish with cheese and white sauce. Cover with ½ cup buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Serves 8.
