¾cupCranberry juice cocktail or apple cider
tablespoonLight brown sugar; packed

Directions

Recipe by: Skinny One-Pot Meals - ISBN 0-940625-75-X In large crock pot, combine sauerkraut, apples, onion, potatoes, rutabaga and ham.

Add bay leaves and pepper. In small bowl, mix together cranberry juice and brown sugar. Pour over sauerkraut mixture.

Cover and cook on high heat 1 hour. Stir mixture. Reduce heat to low, and cook an additional 6 to 7 hours.
