Fruited angel surprise

Ingredients

1cupWhipping cream -- whipped
3tablespoonsSugar
½teaspoonVanilla
¼cupCrushed pineapple, drained
¼cupQuartered maraschino cherries
2cupsMiniature marshmallows
½cupChopped walnuts
110-inch Angel food cake
1cup(to 1 1/2 cups) Whipping cream, whipped and sweetened

Directions

Combine whipping cream, sugar and vanilla. Fold in fruits, marshmallows and walnuts. Chill. With serrated knife, cut 1-inch slice from top of angel food cake. Cut out a ring 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Spoon in chilled filling. Replace top slice. Frost top and sides with sweetened whipped cream. Chill. Garnish cake as desired. Serves 12.
