1 pack (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup Water
½ cup Orange juice
cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Orange liqueur or cherry brandy; (optional)

Notes: From Hawaiian Electric Kitchen.

Rinse cranberries, discarding over ripe berries. In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, water, and orange juice. Cover and bring to a boil; lower heat and cook for 7 to 10 minutes. Strain mixture through fine mesh strainer. Return pulp to pan; discard skins and seeds. Add sugar and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Add liquor and continue cooking for 2 to 3 more minutes. Makes about 2 cups.
