Date cup cake

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Dates; finely chopped
1 cup Water; hot
1 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Butter
1 \N Egg
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1½ cup Flour
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Walnut meats

Pour water over dates and cool. Cream sugar, butter and egg. Add dry ingredients, vanilla and nut meats. Mix well and add to date mixture.

Batter is thin. Bake in well-greased muffin tins.
