Yield: 8 Servings
|⅓ cup||Sifted all-purpose flour|
|½ teaspoon||Baking powder|
|1 teaspoon||Grated lemon peel|
Preheat oven to 325. Sift flour with baking powder & salt. Add dates, nuts & lemon peel. Toss well. Beat egg yolks with ½ cup sugar until very thick & light. Fold in flour mixture. Beat egg whites & add remaining sugar. Fold flour mixture into egg whites until combined. Bake 50 minutes in 8x8-inch pan. Serve with whipped cream.
