Creamed tuna on toast

Ingredients

ounceSliced mushrooms, canned
¼cupAll purpose flour
¼cupButter
cupMilk
¼cupMedium sherry(optional)
½poundsProcess cheese, cubed (2 cups)
½teaspoonSeasoned salt
1pinchBlack pepper
¼teaspoonGround nutmeg
2cans(6 1/2 oz) tuna, drained

Directions

In two quart saucepan over low heat, stir flour into hot butter or margarine, until blended. Gradually stir in milk, sherry and mushroom liquid and cook, stirring until thickened. Stir in cheese, seasoned salt , pepper and nutmeg until cheese melts. Stir in tuna and mushrooms into sauce. Warm through stirring gently. Serve warm over Toast Points. or toasted English muffins
