Maple glazed sweet potatoes

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 1/2-3 Lbs. Sweet potatoes, peeled
1 3/4-2 Lbs. Apples, peeled and cored
¾ cup Maple syrup
¼ cup Apple cider
¼ cup Butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Salt

Cut the sweet potatoes and apples into ¼ inch slices. Layer in a greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish. In a saucepan, bring syrup, cider, butter and salt to a boil. Pour over potatoes and apples. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 10-15 minutes more or until tender. Serves 8-10.
