Cranberry dessert cake

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Flour, All-Purpose
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 cup Milk
3 tablespoons Butter -- melted
1 pack Cranberries -- halved
\N \N Sugar
\N \N Cream
\N \N Butter
\N \N Cake----------------
\N \N Sauce---------------




Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Sift together: flour, sugar, and baking powder.

Blend in: Milk, butter, and cranberries.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.


Cook sugar, cream, and butter over a double boiler about 10 minutes. (start with 1 cup cream, 1 stick butter, ¼ cup sugar - adjust to taste. A bit of rum extract in the sauce tastes very good.) Serve cake with hot sauce.
