Ingredients

| 1½ | tablespoon | Butter or margarine |
| 2 | tablespoons | All-purpose flour |
| 1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
| Few grains Cayenne pepper | ||
| 1 | Egg; slightly beaten | |
| ¾ | cup | Skimmed milk |
| ¼ | cup | Vinegar |
Directions
Melt butter or margarine in top of double boiler. Mix dry ingredients; add egg, melted butter or margarine, and milk, then very slowly add the vinegar. Cook until mixture thickens. Cool. Yield: 1-¼ cups.
