Cinnamon-applesauce muffins

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Granulated sugar
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
2 cups Bisquick® baking mix
¾ cup Unsweetened applesauce
⅓ cup Packed brown sugar
⅓ cup Chopped nuts; if desired
3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Ground allspice
1 Egg
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine; melted

Heat oven to 450F degrees.

Line 12 medium muffin cups, 2½ X 1 ¼", with paper baking cups. Mix granulated sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon; reserve.

Mix remaining ingredients except butter with fork until moistened. Divide batter among muffin cups.

Bake until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Immediately remove from muffin cups. While warm, dip tops into melted butter, then into sugar-cinnamon mixture.
