Applesauce spice muffins

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter; softened
2 cups Sugar
2 \N Eggs
2 cups Applesauce
4 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking soda
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
2 teaspoons Allspice
½ teaspoon Cloves
1 cup Chopped pecans
\N \N Powered sugar to sprinkle on top

Cream butter, add sugar. Add eggs, beating after each. Add applesauce, mix well. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients. Add to creamed mixture, beat till smooth. Stir in pecans. Grease muffin tins (or use paper liners) and fill ¾ full. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in muffin comes out clean. Transfer from pan to wire rack.

Sprinkle muffin tops with powdered sugar.

For mini muffins: grease 1¾ inch muffin pans. Fill ¾ full. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
