Char siu sauce

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons Honey
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Dry sherry
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
3 \N Quarter-size slices fresh ginger, crushed

Extracted from a Char Siu Ding (Pork) recipe. Should be tested.

In a pan, combine soy, honey, sugar, sherry, salt, five-spice and ginger.

Heat for one minute to dissolve sugar.
