Caramel apple bars

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
¼ cup Shortening
1 cup Brown sugar
1¾ cup Flour
1 cup Quick oatmeal
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking soda

4½ cup Apples; peeled, chopped
3 tablespoons Flour
1 pack Caramel candy
3 tablespoons Butter
