Measure Ingredient
5 cups Flour
2½ tablespoon Double-acting baking powder
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Cream of tartar
1 cup Shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until it resembles crumbs.
