Ingredients

16ouncesVegetarian refried beans; canned
1cupMillet or brown rice; cooked
¼cupOats; quick-cooking
¼cupTomato paste
½teaspoonGarlic powder
½teaspoonSalt
1tablespoonArrowroot
3teaspoonsOnion; finely minced

Directions

Process bread, one slice at a time, in a dry blender to form soft crumbs.

Mix all ingredients together well. Form into 8 patties. Brown on each side n a vegetable-oil sprayed non-stick skillet. Serve as is or on whole wheat buns with lettuce, sprouts and ketchup, if desired. Per patty: 131 calories, 6 g protein, 25 g carb, 6 g fat (4%) GARHOW@...
