Baked rice #1

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 large Onion; chopped
¼ pounds Butter or margarine
1½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Raw rice
2 cans Consomme
1 \N Soup can water
1 pack Slivered almonds; optional

Saute onion with butter & almonds. Do not let almonds get too brown. Add rice, salt, consomme & water. Pour into 2-quart casserole dish & bake in preheated oven at 350 for 1 to 1-½ hours or until done. Cover dish for the first 20 minutes. Serves 8-10.
