Yield: 4 Servings
|8 larges||Apples peeled, cored|
|2 cups||All-purpose flour, sifted|
|Oil, lard or shortening|
1. Slice the peeled and cored apples or cut into rounds at ⅓ inch thick. 2. Combine ale, flour and salt with whisk, until mixture is smooth then Dip apple slices in mixture. 3. Fry in deep fat or in 1 inch of oil in heavy skillet at 370°frying temperature. Drain. 4.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve immediately.
