| 1 C. sugar (divided use) | ||
| 1 C. egg whites | ||
| 1 tsp. cream of tartar | ||
| ¾ | Tsp. vanilla | |
| ¼ | Tsp. almond extract | |
Directions
Sift flour and ¾ cup of the sugar. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy, and slowly add the remaining ¼ cup sugar. Beat until stiff. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Sift flour mixture into the egg whites, ¼ cup at a time.
Pour into lightly greased tube pan. Cut batter with spatula to decrease any air bubbles. Bake in 350° oven for approximately 40 minutes.
