Tomato-grits casseroles

Ingredients

2cupsBoiling water;
1teaspoonSalt;
1quartStewed tomatoes; fresh or canned
¾cupSugar; (or equal to 3/4 cup of sugar substitute)
¼cupButter =OR=-
¼cupMargarine;

Directions

Add grits to rapidly boiling water to which salt has been added; stir well and cook until thick, stirring often. Combine tomatoes, sugar, and butter; heat. Combine with grits, blending well.
