Tomato sauce mix

Measure Ingredient
\N \N Dried tomatoes (not oil packed) make a tomato sauce mix with a unique
\N \N Flavor that pasta lovers will appreciate. Give the recipe for Double
\N \N Tomato Sauce along with the mix.
1 cup Dried tomatoes
2 tablespoons Dried parsley
1 tablespoon Dried basil
2 teaspoons Dried marjoram
½ teaspoon Hot pepper flakes

With scissors, sliver tomatoes, combine in airtight container with parsley, basil, marjoram and pepper flakes. Makes about 1 cup.

DOUBLE TOMATO SAUCE: In 2 tbsp olive oil, cook 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves over medium heat until softened, about 3 minutes. Add ½ cup MIX and 1 can (19oz) tomatoes, breaking up tomatoes. Simmer for 15 minutes or until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Makes 3 cups, enough for 4 servings.
