Tomato bacon pomodoro sauce for pasta

Ingredients

| 1 | tablespoon | Olive oil |
| ½ | pounds | Bacon; finely diced |
| ½ | medium | Onion; diced |
| 1 | Clove garlic; minced | |
| 1 | can | (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes |
| 5 | tablespoons | Tomato paste |
| ⅔ | cup | Chicken broth |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Basil |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Oregano |
| ½ | teaspoon | Dried parsley |
Directions
Place oil and bacon in pan. Cook bacon until brown. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over prepared ravioli or tortellini.
