Tomato bacon pomodoro sauce for pasta

Yield: 5 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Olive oil
½ pounds Bacon; finely diced
½ medium Onion; diced
1 Clove garlic; minced
1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
5 tablespoons Tomato paste
⅔ cup Chicken broth
¼ teaspoon Basil
¼ teaspoon Oregano
½ teaspoon Dried parsley

Place oil and bacon in pan. Cook bacon until brown. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over prepared ravioli or tortellini.
