Tomato aspic #2

1½ | tablespoon | Unflavored gelatin |
¼ | cup | Cold water |
2½ | cup | Tomato juice |
1 | tablespoon | Grated onion |
3 | Whole cloves | |
1 | Bay leaf | |
¼ | cup | Chopped celery |
1 | teaspoon | Chopped parsley |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Sugar |
2 | teaspoons | Freshly squeezed lemon juice |
Soften gelatin in the cold water. Mix the tomato juice with the seasonings, cover, and simmer 15 minutes. Strain, add the softened gelatin, and stir until dissolved. Pour into six individual molds. Chill until firm. Yield: 6 servings.
