|½ pounds||Vanilla wafers; crushed|
|2½ cup||Confectioner's sugar|
|1 \N||Stick butter|
|1 quart||Strawberries; sliced|
|2 \N||Bananas; sliced|
|\N \N||Nuts; if desired|
|½ pint||Cream; whipped|
Blend softened butter and confectioner's sugar, beating until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Fold in crumbs. Spread evenly in 2-½ quart shallow dish. Add strawberries and bananas as next layer, spread even- ly with whipped cream and sprinkle with more wafer crumbs.
Refrigerate. Slice or cut in squares to serve. Serves 16.
