Strawberry-banana squares

Ingredients

| ½ | pounds | Vanilla wafers; crushed |
| 2½ | cup | Confectioner's sugar |
| 1 | Stick butter | |
| 2 | Eggs | |
| 1 | quart | Strawberries; sliced |
| 2 | Bananas; sliced | |
| Nuts; if desired | ||
| ½ | pint | Cream; whipped |
Directions
Blend softened butter and confectioner's sugar, beating until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Fold in crumbs. Spread evenly in 2-½ quart shallow dish. Add strawberries and bananas as next layer, spread even- ly with whipped cream and sprinkle with more wafer crumbs.
Refrigerate. Slice or cut in squares to serve. Serves 16.
