Strawberry-banana squares

Yield: 16 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ pounds Vanilla wafers; crushed
2½ cup Confectioner's sugar
1 \N Stick butter
2 \N Eggs
1 quart Strawberries; sliced
2 \N Bananas; sliced
\N \N Nuts; if desired
½ pint Cream; whipped

Blend softened butter and confectioner's sugar, beating until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Fold in crumbs. Spread evenly in 2-½ quart shallow dish. Add strawberries and bananas as next layer, spread even- ly with whipped cream and sprinkle with more wafer crumbs.

Refrigerate. Slice or cut in squares to serve. Serves 16.
