Measure Ingredient
1 \N Stick butter
12 slices Bread
1 cup Grated cheddar cheese
1 \N Ham steak; cubed
1 small Can mild green chilies
\N \N Sauteed onions; finely diced
2 cups Milk
8 \N Eggs
\N \N Salt and pepper

CUSTARD

COMBINE THE NIGHT BEFORE

Melt one stick (which is 8 T, OR ½ Cup, OR ¼ lb.) butter in a 13x9 pan.

Cube 12 slices of bread and press into butter. Sprinkle the cheese, ham, chiles and onions over the bread.

Beat together custard ingredients. SLOWLY pour custard mixture over all; cover and refrigerate overnight. In the AM, bake in 350° oven for about 50 minutes, or until set. Let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.
