Ingredients

1cupOnions; diced
¾teaspoonGarlic; minced
3tablespoonsOil (use the oil from frying the tofu)
¼cupBreading mixture left over from the main recipe, or unbleached flour
teaspoonYeast, smoked
5teaspoonsVogue Vegy Base
½teaspoonSalt
teaspoonBlack pepper
1cup;water

Directions

Saute the onions and garlic in the oil for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in the breading mixture, yeast, soup base, salt and pepper and cook 3 to 4 minutes longer.

Add half of the water, whisking it into the onion and flour mixture.

When it thickens, add the remaining water, whisking to a light consistency.
