Simply elegant steak and rice

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ pounds Boneless inside,round steak
1½ tablespoon Oil
2 larges Onions,rings cut 1/2"
10 ounces Can mushroom soup
10 ounces Can sliced mushrooms & liq.
½ cup Dry sherry (opt)
1½ teaspoon Garlic salt

Cut steak into thin strips. In a large skillet brown meat in hot oil.

Add onions and saute until tender crisp. Blend together soup, liquid from mushrooms, sherry and garlic salt and pour over steak. Add the mushrooms. Reduce heat, cover and simmer mixture for 1 hour, or until tender. Serve with fluffy rice. Submitted By CAROL VERGE On 04-13-95
