1Stalk celery, diced
2Onions, sliced
4Green peppers, cut in rings
1Clove garlic, minced
2No 2 cans okra
1No 2 can tomatoes
½cupCatsup
1canBeer
1poundsShrimp, cooked salt and pepper
4cupsCooked rice

Directions

Cook bacon; reserve. Saute celery, onions, green peppers and garlic in bacon fat until soft. Drain okra; add with tomatoes, catsup and beer.

Simmer till thick. Add shrimp and bacon. Heat well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with rice. From the files of Al Rice, North Pole Alaska. Feb 1994
