Directions
Drain all liquid from the sauerkraut. Barely cover with boiling water, then cook, uncovered, 30 minutes or longer if desired. Drain.
(Serve the drained liquid from the cooking as a juice cocktail.) To the hot sauerkraut, add caraway or celery seeds, or a dash of cloves, and salt, pepper and butter or margarine to taste.
