Royal coconut cookies

Ingredients

| 1¼ | cup | Sifted all-purpose flour |
| 1 | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| 1 | teaspoon | Soda |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | cup | Granulated sugar |
| ½ | cup | Brown sugar, firmly packed |
| ½ | cup | Butter or margarine, soft |
| 1 | Egg | |
| ½ | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 | cup | Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or old-fashioned) |
| 1 | cup | Flaked or shredded coconut |
Directions
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt into bowl. Add sugars, butter, egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Stir in oats and coconut.
Shape to form 1-inch balls. Place on greased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) 12 to 15 minutes.
