Route 66 pig hip sauce

Chill a stainless steel mixing bowl until very cold. Take 1 large egg from refrigerator and using an electric mixer, beat egg thoroughly.

While continuing to beat, slowly add 3 cups of good quality vegetable oil and 7 ounces of Heinz catsup. To this, add 2 ounces of Worcestershire sauce, ½ cup of sugar, and a pinch of salt. Serve over thinly sliced ham. Makes 1 quart.
