Roasted sirloin with mustard maple glaze

3 | pounds | Beef top sirloin steak (boneless), cut 2\" thick |
Salt and pepper, as desired | ||
¼ | cup | Maple syrup |
2 | teaspoons | Cider vinegar |
3 | tablespoons | Coarse-grain Dijon mustard |
¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
Directions
MUSTARD MAPLE GLAZE
Heat oven to 350 degree F. Place steak on rack in roasting pan. Do not cover or add water. Roast for 50-60 min. or 16-20 min. per pound.
Remove when thermometer inserted in center reads 135 degree F for med-rare. Meanwhile, combine glaze ingredients in 1 cup glass measure. Microwave on high for 3½ to 5 minutes until thickened, stir occasionally. Brush glaze over top and sides of steak. Broil steak 3-4 inches from heat for 4-5 min. Remove from oven. Let stand 10 min.
Carve steak into slices.
Serving Suggestion: Wild Rice with Fruit and Toasted Pecans, Steamed Broccoli and Cherry or Cranberry Salad. Serves 8 to 10.
