Red fruit and champagne

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Strawberries washed and hulled
½ cup Raspberries, cleaned
¼ cup Red currants, cleaned
¾ cup Sugar
750 millilitres Bottle chilled champagne or sparkling wine
¼ cup Raspberry liqueur

Place the fruit in a large pitcher and cover with the sugar in a layer. Allow the fruit to macerate in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Just before serving, pour a bottle of champagne over the fruit and add the raspberry liqueur. Serve chilled.
