Raisin penny pinchers

¾cupButter (or marg.); softened
1cupSugar, brown; firmly packed
2Eggs
½cupMilk, evaporated; undiluted
2cupsFlour, all-purpose
½teaspoonSalt
2cupsOats, old-fashioned; uncookd
½cupWalnuts; chopped
1cupRaisins, seedless
1teaspoonLemon rind; grated

Directions

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Blend in milk, flour, and salt. Add oats, walnuts, raisins, and lemon rind; mix well. Drop level tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
