Raisin penny pinchers

Yield: 5 dozen

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Butter (or marg.); softened
1 cup Sugar, brown; firmly packed
2 \N Eggs
½ cup Milk, evaporated; undiluted
2 cups Flour, all-purpose
½ teaspoon Salt
2 cups Oats, old-fashioned; uncookd
½ cup Walnuts; chopped
1 cup Raisins, seedless
1 teaspoon Lemon rind; grated

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Blend in milk, flour, and salt. Add oats, walnuts, raisins, and lemon rind; mix well. Drop level tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
