Ingredients

1packDry yeast
¼cupWarm water (110 deg f)
cupMilk, scalded & cooled
2tablespoonsSugar
1teaspoonSalt
3Eggs
¼cupSoftened butter
2cupsFlour, sifted

Directions

In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar and salt.

Beat in eggs, butter and flour with mixer. Cover and let rise for 1½ hours. Stir down. Cover and chill in refrigerator overnight or until ready to use. When ready to prepare, stir down and pour into hot waffle iron.

Bake until golden brown. Serve with syrup or powdered sugar.
