Pulla (scandinavian sweet bread)

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Milk
2 tablespoons Butter
1 \N Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla OR almond extract
¼ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Ground cardamom (up to 1)
3 cups All-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Rapid or quick yeast
1 \N Egg beaten with:
2 tablespoons Milk OR cream



Source: HOLIDAY BREADS - Donna German VI Remove dough from machine. Divide into 3 equal parts. Roll each piece into a long rope. Braid ropes together. Place braid on lightly greased baking pan. Cover and let rise for about 1-½ hours. Brush dough with EGG WASH Bake in preheated 350° oven 25-30 minutes or until golden.
