Potato griddle cakes

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Potatoes; grated
1 each Egg; beaten
½ cup Flour; sifted
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt; level
⅛ teaspoon Pepper

Mix and bake on greased griddle in three-inch cakes. Serve with butter and syrup.
