Poppy seed holiday bread

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Flour
1½ teaspoon Salt
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
2½ cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Poppy seeds
1½ teaspoon Almond extract
1½ teaspoon Vanilla
3 Eggs
1½ cup Milk
1⅓ cup Oil
6 tablespoons Surgar
¼ teaspoon Almond extract
2 tablespoons Orange juice
2 tablespoons Melted butter

Combine flour, salt, baking powder, 2½ cups sugar, poppy seed, flavorings, eggs, milk and oil in mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed until mixed. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 5 x 9-inch loaf pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ¼ hours or until loaves test done. Brush hot loaves with mixture of 6 tablespoons sugar, ¼ teaspoon almond extract, orange juice and butter.
